Information is the center of our clients’ business. The creation, distribution, management, and availability of that information plays a defining role in the acquisition of a strategic advantage.

Vertex Internet creates best-of-breed content management solutions that follow the life cycle of web based information.

In the past, technical web administrators have been used for formatting and moving of information to a corporate website. The problem, however, is that the technical, web admin quickly becomes overloaded with these tasks—particularly for dynamic sites. Generally, these tasks would be better served with the business units.

The key to moving these publishing tasks from the technical team to the business units is providing two things: (1) an easy to use editor (that is similar to popular word processing packages like Microsoft’s Word or WordPerfect).; and (2) an authorization process that allows management to preview and approve content prior to it being moved live to the website.

General Workflow:

1. The Content Management System is role based, only authorized authors, or Content Contributors can create content. Once the Content administrator signs-in to the website, he/she can go directly to the webpage to update or add a page.
2. An authorized Content Contributor creates content in an easy to use editor. No technology skills are needed.
3. Prior to the content being moved "Live" on the site, a Content Authorizer will approve or disapprove the content.
4. When the content is approved, content is automatically moved “Live.” And when the content is disapproved, content can be sent back (with comments) to the Content Contributor for revisions. Additionally, previous versions of the content can be retrieved from history.
